Town-Wide Open House

On Sunday, February 15th on President’s Day Weekend you can tour homes for sale in the town of Milton, Delaware. There are some beautiful historic homes that have been totally renovated and others that will appeal to the do-it-yourselfer looking for a new project. Sprinkled throughout town and on the outskirts you will also find new homes and communities in walking distance of everything Milton has to offer.

While you’re in town for the long weekend, come visit Milton and see what’s happening in town. It’s small town atmosphere is appealing to retirees and second-home buyers who like the location so close to Lewes and the beach resorts. For more information or directions, call Kathy Sperl-Bell at 302-947-0860. There will be drawings for Gift Certificates to some Milton restaurants and businesses.

Cooperation is what makes the real estate business work so if you are already working with a Buyer’s Agent in this area, have them bring you to the Open House. If your agent is not available,  just have them give me a call and I will be happy to show you the open houses for them. For more detail on any of the properties featured above, visit http://www.kathyandbill.com/search/ .

From Lewes to Milton

Who bought homes in Milton, Delaware in 2008? There are new residents who moved from New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania and other states. They are attracted to the small town atmosphere, the location and the choice of both new homes and historic homes. Some of the nicest homes right in town however were bought by locals who moved here from Lewes. Lewes is a wonderful place to live but comparable homes in the Lewes Historic District or near Lewes Beach tend to be more expensive than homes in Milton. There are quite a few similarities between the towns and Milton is also only about 15 mintues from the heart of Lewes. I drive it daily from my home in Milton to the RE/MAX office in Lewes.

Flip Video tour – 422 Chestnut St.

At the beginning of every year, I allow myself at least one new technology tool. For this year, I started with the Flip camcorder. It is actually smaller in size than my TREO and I am very pleased with its quality. To practice taking video clips and then converting them into a full video tour, I produced the following video on 422 Chestnut Street, our home that is on the market in Milton, Delaware.

Watch the video – 422 Chestnut Street

The Flip camcorder is by far the simplest new technology and I look forward to taking new videos around town and posting them on this blog.
