MILTON, DE - Written in 1594, this is British farce at its best. A romp in the woods leads fools, fairies and star-crossed lovers from riotous confusion to the inevitable happy ending. Lysander loves Hermia. Helena loves Demetrius, by whom she was once courted. Demetrius thinks he loves Hermia. Hermia knows she loves Lysander, but is being forced to marry Demetrius. All the young people escape to the woods outside Athens where their problems grow when they cross the paths of feuding Titania and Oberon, the King and Queen of the fairies.
The Historic Milton Theatre is right in the heart of town. This is the first time that a Shakespeare play has graced the stage but there is something going on almost all the time. For tickets or more information, call (302) 684-3400, or toll free at 1-800-838-3006. Tell them Kathy and Bill told you to call!
Remaining performances are July 31, August 1, and 2, 2009. Friday and Saturday shows will begin at 8 pm. Sunday matinee begins at 2 pm. Tickets for the event are $18 for adults, and $15 for students 18 and below, and seniors 65 and above.

Not everyone moving to Delaware is getting ready to retire. The growth of the Baby Boomer population is causing an explosion in businesses and industries that provide services we will need as we age. The Health Care Industry is one that is growing by leaps and bounds as our local hospitals recruit new doctors, nurses and other health care professionals.

To the east of Milton is Lewes, Delaware, home to Beebe Medical Center, only about a 10 – 15 minute drive from the heart of Milton. Beebe has been on a major expansion for several years now and they are opening outpatient facilities inland.
This is a benefit to the towns of Milton, Millsboro and Millville, three of the towns in Coastal Delaware that are also seeing tremendous growth in their populations.
To the north of Milton is Milford and Dover, Delaware, two locations of BayHealth which is also expanding into the town of Milton and surrounding areas. BayHealth is recruiting doctors and other health professionals and many of them find that Milton is a great town in which to live. It’s close to the hospital but it is also close to the resort areas of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. I’ve always thought it made the most sense to live where I’d like to be when I am not working.
This month I have two settlements in the town of Milton and both buyers are relocating to join BayHealth! From what I hear, it is just the beginning of more newcomers that will be calling Milton, Delaware home.
