Vanishing Voices of World War II features recollections from two dozen of the 100 veterans included in James Diehl’s two books, World War II Heroes of Southern Delaware, and World War II Heroes of Coastal Delaware. Told from the perspective of men, and one woman, who served during that time period and today call southern Delaware home, this documentary allows Delawarean World War II veterans voices to be heard forever. [2009, USA, Runtime: 56 minutes, Not rated] After the screening, James Diehl, writer and co-producer of the film and author of the books that inspired it, will give a brief presentation and lead a Q&A session. Mr. Diehl is passionate about bringing recognition to those who served in World War II, and this screening and presentation will ensure that our local heroes will be remembered.
