Milton Chamber introduces new web site

One sure way to see how the town of Milton is growing is to visit the brand new web site at HistoricMilton.com. Wow is all I can say. Developed by Fine Line Websites with photography by Maria DeForrest, this site is now up to the level of any Chamber of Commerce in any town regardless of the size or number of business members. Business to business participation in the Chamber and its support of town events and functions is also growing and that is what makes it such an exciting time here in Coastal Delaware.

Take a look at Milton and watch it grow!

Best of Milton September 10, 2011

Time for the 6th Annual Best of Milton  Auction to be held on September 10th from 4 to 7:30 pm at the Milton Fire Hall. All donations helps the Milton Historical Society meet their mission of collecting and sharing the history of Milton and the Broadkill Hundred. For tickets or to make a donation please contact 302-684-1010 or visit www.historicmilton.org.

This is a great way to get to know Milton. We always run into friends who have lived in town forever and meet newcomers who just arrived. It’s always a great time and we usually leave with some great finds.

Bargains on the Broadkill, October 8, 2011

This year is just flying by and it’s time again for one of our favorite events in the town of Milton – Bargains on the Broadkill and the Great Duck  Race! Organized every year by the Milton Chamber of Commerce, this popular event draws hundreds of people to town. And, you just might win the big prize if you buy the winning duck!

Last year the 1st Place Grand Prize was $500 for the winning duck and there were lots of other prizes donated by local businesses. Put this event on your calendar and come to Milton for some great family fun.

Dogfish Head made in Milton Delaware

Milton, Delaware, is a small historic town known for it’s past as a shipbuilding town and it’s location at the head of the Broadkill River. Increasingly, Milton is becoming best known as the headquarters of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, founded by Sam Caliglione. Dogfish is the nation’s fastest growing brewery and thanks to Brew Masters, the new series hosted by Sam  on The Discovery Channel, more “off-centered” people are discovering the town of Milton. On any given day, hundreds of people visit Milton for one reason – beer tasting at the Dogfish Brewery. It’s the hottest ticket in town and brings in more visitors to the town than any other business or event.
